Risk Consultant

Regional office:

  • Calgary (main areas of activity: Canada and North America)

Your job will be to:

  • Develop and expand ModuSpec’s Risk Management activities using your industry knowledge and expertise
  • Carry out consulting activities for our clients
  • Carry out consulting activities for international projects as required
  • Provide assistance with the technical aspects of marketing and proposal preparation. 

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

  • Must have background in mechanical, process or chemical engineering in oil and gas, pipeline and/or petrochemical process industry
  • At least five years of relevant industry experience
  •  Candidates must possess, be working towards or be eligible for P.Eng. designation.  
  • Knowledge of Qualitative Risk Assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, What-If Analysis) and Process Hazards Analysis(PHA) software packages (preferred)
  • Familiarity with safety-critical task analyses and procedures development (desired)
  • Skilled at facilitating technical meetings of subject matter experts
  • A proven willingness to accept instruction and an aptitude to learn Risk Assessment techniques
  • Strong verbal and written English-language skills (essential)
  • Possess initiative, demonstrate dedication, and be able to work in a team environment. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and internationally
  •  NOTE Although our preference is for an experienced Risk Consultant, we are prepared to train a candidate with the right skills.

  •  Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada on a full-time and permanent basis.
